VC43 is a sleeveless recovery suit for cats, cut from a stretch ice-silk blend and closed with a rear button placket. The suit covers the torso from the neck opening down to the rear leg openings, so the abdominal and flank area stays physically covered while the cat eats, drinks, walks and uses the litter box. It is produced in two stock colourways, Pink and Blue, in three measured sizes. Measure chest circumference at the widest point behind the front legs, then back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. These are supplier measurements taken by hand, so a tolerance may apply. Where a cat sits between two sizes, the supplier advises taking the larger size. Check the intended fit on a representative cat before confirming a size run.
The suit is built as a sleeveless body with a rear button placket. Press studs run down the back, so the suit opens flat when it is put on and when the covered area is checked. A drawstring runs through the neckline and closes with a cord lock, which sets the neck opening to the cat. The rear leg openings keep the hind legs free for walking, sitting and using the litter box. The construction details are shown in the images at the top of this page.
A perforated mesh panel runs the length of the back, which moves heat and moisture away from the body instead of letting them build up under the fabric. The shell is a high-elastic knit that sits close to the cat without compressing, and the sleeveless cut leaves the front legs free.
The suit is a physical fabric barrier over the abdomen and flank. It keeps the area covered while the cat moves around the house, and the coverage sits between the cat and its own tongue and claws during licking and scratching.
